From dnusinow at debian.org Thu Feb 19 23:40:12 2009 From: dnusinow at debian.org (David Nusinow) Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2009 23:40:12 -0500 Subject: Lenny Release Party! Message-ID: <499E342C.8080606@debian.org> Hey everyone, Once again Debian has managed to overcome paralyzing debates about freedom and internal politics in order to make a release, and it's time to celebrate! I'll be throwing a party in honor of the release this Saturday, Feb. 21. The festivities start at 8, and feel free to bring whatever. There'll be snacks, but no dinner. Also, please invite along whoever might be interested in toasting one of the most dysfunctional functional projects in the free software community. That includes forwarding this email along. Our place is at 1455 Beacon St., Apt 45 in Brookline. The easiest way to get there is by T, taking the C line out to Brandon Hall, crossing the street without going up the stairs at the stop, and walk down until you reach the building with the greek statue and fountain outside. If you're coming, I'd appreciate a quick reply to give me some idea of who's showing up. If you have any questions at all, you can give me a call at (617) 947-0776. Hope to see you there! - David Nusinow From brian.gupta at gmail.com Thu Feb 26 03:14:46 2009 From: brian.gupta at gmail.com (Brian Gupta) Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2009 03:14:46 -0500 Subject: Boston NYC meetup. Message-ID: <5b5090780902260014r103ef1c6wfd71acc18ab38b4f@mail.gmail.com> Hi guys, I was thinking of traveling up to Boston the weekend of the 7th/8th of March, to meet you guys. (I am a member of the NYC team). I am hoping to drag others with me. I'd like to plan a meet and greet. (preferably with beer). My goals are to establish friendly ties, and expand the local team to beyond just NYC. (IE: A US team) (Since you guys were also interested in hosting a US bid.) Please let me(us) know, where to show up and when. (Or at least make proposals) Cheers, Brian P.S. - At the moment it is just me. But I am gonna try and convince others to join. -- - Brian Gupta New York City user groups calendar: http://nyc.brandorr.com/
