Message-ID: Greetings, Debian-Boston-socialites! I'm looking into participating in the Debian project. One of the things that I'm working on taking care of from the outset is to get my GPG key in good shape. I've loaded a potentially-suitable key (4C7B9DB7) onto the pgp.mit.edu keyserver; as the curious would be able to tell, it's rather bereft of signatures. I'm going to be in town (Brookline, to be precise) for Rosh Hashanah this upcoming weekend. I've got an open window of a few hours on Saturday afternoon--would anyone be interested in meeting up for a fast key-signing? I'd be happy to buy a round of frozen yogurt if we were to meet at, say, the Brighton Pizzanini. ;-) (A worthy dining establishment if only for the name alone!) I should mention that I'm working on moving to the area, if I can get any traction in my job search, so I'll (hopefully!) have other oppor- tunities somewhere down the line, even if this doesn't come together. Cool, but I'll have to add it to my list of "just missed it" timing events in my life. I guess they'll probably have another one in late 2007, though. ;-) --Eric / finzif From mako at debian.org Tue Sep 19 22:43:00 2006 From: mako at debian.org (Benj. I'd prefer to meet in downtown Boston where I'll probably be that afternoon. If that works, it would be ideal. If nobody else is around, I konw David Nusinow just moved to Brookline and might be able to meet. That's actually just down the street from me. I should be able to make some time to for a keysigning and frozen yogurt. :) James -- GPG Key: 1024D/61326D40 2003-09-02 James Vega -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... As it happens, I also have plans to be in town briefly this coming weekend; my schedule's pretty tight, but I might still be able to squeeze in a quick keysigning Saturday afternoon, provided it starts at a time I have a chance of making (2 or 2:30 would be best). Alright. Let's meet at Buddah's Delight at 2:00. It's at 3 Beach Street on the 2nd floor in Boston. You might want to come a few minutes later if you want the buffet. If you don't want to eat, that will be fine too. I'm not sure just yet exactly how, but I'll get there one way or another. Perhaps if James is still interested we might car- or transit-pool there? > (Eric?) Sorry to drop off the 'net for a while there; it's a "no personal e-mail" workplace policy kind of thing. Something I should pay attention to during my job search, I suppose--sometimes it's the "little" things that make a big difference. (Ideally I'd find a position with the opposite extreme--where participation in Debian activities, in particular, is actively encouraged.) But I digress. This Saturday. 2:00pm. Buddha's Delight on 3 Beach street. 2nd floor. See you there! I probably won't have time to make it to Buddha's Delight, which is unfortunate since I haven't been there in quite some time. AFAICT, there are plenty of T (subway) stations in the area; from Brookline, I would probably take a Green Line train in to Boylston Street, which is only a few blocks away. > Sorry to drop off the 'net for a while there; it's a "no personal > e-mail" workplace policy kind of thing. Perhaps if James is still interested we might car- or > transit-pool there? Parking in chinatown will be pain. Best thing is to take the subway. It's very close to the Chinatown orange line stop and the Boystol green line stop. It's about a 5-7 minute walk from the Park Street red line stop which may or not be faster than switching to the green.
