More "dirt" E. -----Original Message----- From: Eric Edwards Sent: Friday, November 09, 2001 8:28 AM To: Dale Walker; John Dorman; Kevin McDonnell Subject: FundsXpress-"Word in the street" Guys, Forgive me if you already know this stuff but thought you would be interested in the following info aboud FundsX. They announced profitability (EBITA) at a recent conference and are ready to do a release in the next couple weeks stating this as well. They also recenUy announced a partnership with Cash tech (out of India) for their cash management product. Interestingly enough Warburg Pincus has $5 million in Cash Tech which is where the partnership has been formed. They are soon to be pusMng their new cash management product and their new lending product aggressively as they believe these are the "cures" to their ills. Also, their cash situation has not improved (as I am sure you know) but they supposedly have a $10 million infusion offer standing form Warburg. Interestingly enough, if Burns takes this $10 million he supposedly loses his majority ownership in the company. If that happens there is little speculation as to his longevity there. So, it sounds as if they are trying to stay away from this infusion from what I have heard. I will forward their latest pricing info to all of you next week for IB, BP, CM (probably not the Cash Tech pricing), Portal, and U Monitor aggregation. Hope this helps. Thanks. Eric Transcriber's footnote: It is difficult to be certain given the poor quality of the nth-generation photocopy in the case file, but it appears as though some recipients may have been cut out of the To: header on this email.
